Sorry but it’s still somewhat long. If you have no idea what you’re doing, you gotta read this whole section.
Why should I care?
You’re part of an alliance. Why be part of the alliance if you’re not going to help out. You also get good stuff out of it if your alliance wins. You get good stuff if you personally do well on each of the daily tasks. It’s a win win win.
What should I do?
Every day, there is a different set of tasks broken down and you get points if you fulfill them. Navigate to VS -> Today’s Theme to see the list of tasks and how many points they give you. They follow the schedule (PST) on the table below and starts at reset of that day (7pm pst). Don’t ask me what it is in zombie time. I don’t know. You do the math. The table also has a summary of what things you should be doing on that day.
Details are provided in the theme breakdown further below. This page is a reference. Things will change over time and this page will not keep up. It is up to you to go to VS -> Today’s theme to see what you should be doing today.

Why is it hard for me to get a lot of points?
Because you’re spending stuff when you shouldn’t be. In short, save all your items until the appropriate AD day. DON’T SPEND ANY OF YOUR SPEEDUPS, BOUNTY REFRESHES, INTERSTATE TRUCK REFRESHES, ITEMS, OR LEVEL ANYTHING UP UNTIL THE PARTICULAR AD ACTIVITY. It’s that simple. If you save up throughout the week, you should have enough stuff to unlock quite a few personal chests.
Think about it. You’ll level up eventually, whether it be right now, or tomorrow during the event. However, if you just wait for the event, not only do you get to level up, you get free stuff with it. Please look at the Additional Info section below.
So how am I doing?
You can check your weekly rank by clicking on the bar chart on the right hand side of the VS view. Click weekly and My Alliance to see how you rank and what your weekly score is. You will be graded and this will be used to determine whether you stay or get kicked out.
Rewards
There are 9 level of chests to unlock each requiring increasingly more points. You can refer to the point table below along with their corresponding rewards. With the exception of Enemy Buster, other days yield the same rewards.
For Non-enemy buster days, chests are OK, except they are an important source of badges. Great for RSS but RSS is abundant in the game. Some of the chests provide diamonds and fragments which is nice.

Modded Vehicle Boost

The strategy here is don’t touch your vehicle until this day. Then on this day, dump all your wrenches, blueprints, modified vehicle components, etc.
Because you are now part of an alliance, you can rally to do higher level boomers. I almost always choose level 10 despite the enemy card showing „Certain Defeat“. You’ll get more points this way, and the boomer rewards are slightly better. It’s a better use of your gas unless you lose too often. Otherwise, almost always go for level 9 or 10 boomers.
Make sure to do all your radar events. Each is worth quite a bit of points.
Creeps aren’t worth it unless there is another activity such as a zombie event. The points they return are too low and you’ll end up healing troops as well.
Shelter Upgrade

Upgrade your shelter buildings and use speedups. Save all your shelter speedups collected throughout the week to be used this day. No need to use speedups any other day. An advanced strategy is to time your expensive buildings (such as HQ) to upgrade on the day of
Only do orange bounties. Send out the orange ones, refresh until you get more orange ones. Rinse and repeat until you’ve sent out all your bounties or run out of refreshes. Then, just do you remainder. With 111k per orange bounty, you can easily unlock the first 4 chests. Save your bounty refreshes and use them this day only as they are more rare than the interstate truck ones.
Update: The updated task list also includes recruiting refugees now. However, i don’t recommend saving up all your tickets to use on this day. Given that refugees are random, when a good one comes up, you should not wait and you need to go for it even if it costs you diamonds. They are random and good ones don’t come by often.
Age of Science

Send out orange interstate trucks. You should have an abundance of refreshes for this. If not, you’re spending them too often and you should save them for this day to use. Doing all 4 orange trucks should unlock the first 4 chests. How easy is that?
The rest is the same as shelter upgrade but for anything that pertains to research. Prioritize doing research that uses badges. This may include things in the Alliance Recognition tree, Fully Armed Alliance Tree, etc. This will gain you more points for the speedups.
Hero Initiative

Save all of your hero fragments, orange equipment fragments, prime recruits, and power cores, and recruitment tickets to use this day. Don’t upgrade any weapons or heroes any other day unless you have an abundance of these things.
However tempting it may be, consuming 1 piece of orange equipment hero is probably not the best use of getting 600k points…
Holistic Growth

Save all your troop training speedups to be used this day. Furthermore, if you want to get some construction or research in faster, you can also use those speedups to get points on this day. The points listed above are per unit troop. For example, given I can train 80 troops at a time, if I train 80 level 1 troops, I get 6320 points.
One thing that is not entirely obvious, if you are trying to game the system purely for points, the best use of points is to use speedups on level 1 troops. Explanation of why can be found in the same section under Full Preparedness. However, you plan on upgrading all your T1 troops using speedups as well, the benefit disappears and you may as well just train the highest level troops you can.
Enemy Buster

If you don’t want to go through the trouble, stay bubbed with a 24h shield please. If you lose all your troops and RSS, don’t say I didn’t warn you. With that said…
The rewards for Enemy Buster are worth it and you want to unlock all the chests if you can, specifically to get the valor medals which can be used to trade in for orange equipment in the shop. Below are a couple of strategies to unlock chests. Unlocking all can get you 5200 valor medals or 10400 if you have the research unlocked.
One strategy here is to TvT against someone who doesn’t have annihilation. The good thing is neither parties permanently lose troops, and it doesn’t consume gas. Ideally, you pick someone around the same level as you. When this happens, both parties will receive more points faster. It doesn’t matter who this is done against, whether it be your AD opponent, or anyone. However, keep in mind that the the victor always gets more points. What this means is if you TvT against your AD opponent, you are net losing points for your alliance. If you don’t care about those points (you don’t need EB to win for the week), by all means, TvT against them even if you lose. However, if you need to win Enemy Buster to win the week, then this strategy is ill advised. TvT another alliance in state that is NOT your opponent to get points instead.
Another option here is to farm weaker HQ’s. You may lose some troops, and it does consume gas, but it’s one way of gathering RSS and gaining points. Be smart about which HQ you attack. Preferably ones that have a troop level lower than yours.
Additional Info
How to get more points
- Save your stuff. Don’t spend it unless it is the appropriate alliance duel day. Save all your refreshes and recruitment tickets.
- Alliance Recognition Research. The points listed in the instruction list above already include your research and hero bonuses. This is important in accumulating more points faster. I would upgrade up to, in the least, Super Rewards and upgrade Event Expert all the way to Level 20 before stopping.
- Level up Chinatsu. Her passive bonus gives you different %boost and can grant up to 20% boost in points when leveled up completely.
Wait for Golden Hour
This is when the Alliance Duel activity aligns with Full Preparedness. The reason for this is because you want to maximize the points you get, and by doing events during glory hour, you are unlocking chests both for Full Prep and for Alliance Duel.
Sometimes, Golden Hour occurs twice for a given event. This is when the Alliance Duel event and the Full prep event align at reset. When this happens, it is advisable to split any upgrades you’re doing to those two times if possible. this allows you to unlock 6 Full prep chests , and is also an easy way to get you 12 medals towards your Full Prep.
Pay attention to chat
Sometimes it’s just impossible for the alliance to win due to a terrible mismatch. In this case, it is usually decided to save for the week to guarantee a win for the following week. The key here is to be patient..
